Okay, I'll try to explain as best I can. If you're using this on a retropi it works great BUT it would be nice to have a keyboard shortcut to toggle Z with L and C with R (this is done by holding select=Right and Left for 3 seconds). So on a SNES emulator you might have the right button layout for fighting games like Killer Instinct, but when you boot up F-Zero, for example, you still have side buttons for tight corners. Well, if not, yes, I deduct 3 stars for that, the size is getting closer. The only thing it has compared to the retroflag controller is that it fits in my hands. I'm assuming they used a smaller 6 button controller in Japan and that's what Retroflag models after themselves and this is the larger US male version. I'd love to take the circuit board out of the retroflag controller and put it in this case, but I can't, the screws are a little different. I think the Retroflag copies the screws from the original Genesis 6 button controller, but this one is a bit different. If you're playing on PC, this might not be a problem as changing the button layout between games is most of what needs to be done. at the bottom of the menu but on a retro cake it's a hassle. I don't use this on my retropi, I use a retro flag controller but I use it on my pc. I want retrobit to add this function or retroflag to create US size. Both are great controllers and I would probably charge the same amount with Retroflag because they are so small.
