I recently bought a Brother embroidery machine and one of the extra pieces was the large SA434 frame piece. I searched for this part number and found this item to replace this tire. I went ahead and bought it. It came in a very basic box, but the weight and materials were very similar to the smaller tire that came with my machine. It fits the machine perfectly and works HOWEVER I'm not very happy with the quality and how it holds the fabric. The four main corners hold the fabric well and firmly, however the left and right longer sides do not stay close together and do not hold the fabric taut. I watched a few YouTube videos addressing this issue and tried every suggestion from the felt "window" to add fabric, masking tape, spray glue, and even tape the sides with self-adhesive first aid tape wrap. None of them really help. Adding more "thickness" (layers) to your fabric will only make the sides worse as you stretch it. I can (and do) still use it, but sometimes the fabric "wrinkles" around the embroidery in my projects because I know the fabric isn't as tight as it should be, even with two or more layers of fleece. I haven't researched other tires or checked if genuine SA434 frames are available direct from Brother but if I have some extra money I'd like to look and try to buy other frames in the same size for comparison.
