Review on Adjustable Shower Head Extension Arm by Michael Adams

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Decent quality extension that does the job

The fit and brushed nickel finish on this bracket is great and matches my existing shower head as well as my Delta Ignition2 kit. They include a small teflon band ring which was much appreciated. I ended up removing the screen and washer to get everything right and just secured it with the included teflon tape to keep it from leaking. YMMV, but installation is usually pretty simple and straightforward. You don't need to hire a plumber. Now some information about my installation experience and intended use. I bought this to add a shower to my typical suburban showerhead combo with the goal of creating a "rainier" experience that seems to be all the rage at the moment. I chose this 10" version to use with my existing set of Delta Ignition2 Series handheld sprayers and it supports them perfectly, but be warned: just a 10" extension isn't enough in my opinion out. I wish I could have gotten an 18 inch case instead, but couldn't find one cheap enough. With the 10" sleeve, I still stand so close to the front of the tub that my foot sometimes sticks over the tub drain, which is uncomfortable. Choose 18" if you want to be closer to the center of the tub. I still chose to just tilt it (not shown in the photo) because the straight top showerheads allow for a downward "rainfall." "Mimic water flow, make it harder to access. your armpits anyway. So, lesson learned. Finally, this extension actually reduces the pipe diameter of your shower rail. This will reduce water flow a bit, but shouldn't be too noticeable unless your house is suffering poor water pressure., For those suffering from poor water pressure, I would advise you to look at another extension with the same diameter as your shower rail.Good luck!
