Rewinding a mountain bike after changing the handlebars - they are needed to cut the new cables to length. Worked like a champ on the cables themselves - nice clean cuts with no fraying. Made all 4 cables and seems to cut just as well as the first one. I did NOT use them to cut outer wire casing as I've read that this will dull the blades and limit their life expectancy so I used the sharp end of a vise to cut the outer casing. Subtracted stay because spring is temperamental. Sometimes they opened right away, and sometimes I had to open them manually. Not a big deal but still doesn't deserve a 5 star rating in my opinion.
