Description of 🚲 Muzata Bike Cable Cutter Wire Rope Stainless Steel - Heavy Duty for Deck Stair Railing, Seal Metal Housing Fencing - Up to 5/32", with 4Pcs Bike Bicycle Cable Cap End M015, CT1

Ideal for stainless steel -- This cable cutter works excellent in cutting up to 5/32" cable of all kinds. It is widely used in industrial and home applications like cable railing, fencing, bike brakes, and other DIY projects. The aircraft 1/8" stainless steel wire rope WR01 and hydraulic crimper CR09 are recommended to use with. 4 pcs bike brake cable cap end tips are inclluded as a gift. Clean Cut -- The blade of this wire rope cutter is quite sharp and durable since it is made of Chrome Vanadium (CR-V) steel and has been hardened by high-frequency quenching. This steel wire cable can make exact and clean cuts without fraying or smashing the cable ends. Safety -- The safety lock prevents accidental opens and cuts that might hurt you. The ergonomic one-hand operation and lightweight make it easy to use and carry. Pre-designed systems -- This product belongs to some pre-designed cable railing systems released recently. We have planned everything you need for building a cable railing project, including posts, handrails, cables, terminals, and tools. Excellent Quality Cable Cutter

I have several of these kits that I use to repair bikes, they cut bike cables cleanly with no problems. I've never had a problem and they continue to work. Bought another set recently because a family member needed to cut thin strips of metal and couldn't find the tool to do it. They stepped in and did their job. Fantastic good quality tool. *** I rely on people's reviews when making my own purchases from Revain. For this reason, I try to leave reviews on every item I purchase for the benefit…

Cons
  • Long delivery time

Did what I needed.

Rewinding a mountain bike after changing the handlebars - they are needed to cut the new cables to length. Worked like a champ on the cables themselves - nice clean cuts with no fraying. Made all 4 cables and seems to cut just as well as the first one. I did NOT use them to cut outer wire casing as I've read that this will dull the blades and limit their life expectancy so I used the sharp end of a vise to cut the outer casing. Subtracted stay because spring is temperamental. Sometimes they…

Worked well on brake cable and housing

Brake cable needed replacing which was rusted and fully stuck to housing and flange. I used to try to cut cables with wire cutters and it was a mess. And don't even try to cut the cable casing without such a tool. However, after ordering a replacement cable and housing, I was able to trim the housing to length with a tool. I had to drill out the case a bit to smooth out the cable hole, but it was fairly easy with an awl. I lubricated the brake cable and fed it through the body, pressed against…

  • Excellent overall performance

Yes this is good. into parts and components

Based on the reviews I selected the majority and took a chance hoping to find something effective that doesn't cost more than my bike. Well-known brands are AVAILABLE for this tool. It's wonderfully effective and cuts shift or brake cables with ease. I've also used it to carve hulls. As for "crushing" the body, I think you're unlikely to find anything that will cut through a hollow tube without distorting it other than a rotary cutter. It's not that important - a small conical punch or mandrel…

  • cool product

  • communication with seller

Just not a very good instrument

Based on other reviews (and a lifetime of buying Chinese instruments of dubious value on occasion - some very reliable and some very flimsy) I was up for it. be a pretty good tool, a bit rough around the edges. It wasn't like that. Yes it's cheaply made, yes the edges are literally rough. But no, it's not a very good tool at all. I used this to assemble two bikes to cut all the cables and covers. Out of about 15 body cuts maybe 4 were clean - the rest had the coil bent so I had to trim the cut…

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Fairly good

Do you really need cable cutters?

You can easily cut cables with wire cutters or metal snips (actually airplane snips), but these cutters make the job much sharper and more enjoyable. You do the same thing with cable jackets, although you can cut the whole thing out with a hacksaw if you need to. I think if you're planning on cutting 10 or more cables and covers (which you could do just by switching cables and covers on the same bike) you might want to consider buying cable cutters. They worked great for a reasonable price…

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Available in white only

Cleanly cuts cable jacket and wire. The return spring is too short, fails when it doesn't help the least. This tool may involve crimping the wire end, or if what appears to be on the inside of the dies is supposed to do the job, it does a terrible job. I already had one. It was more expensive than this tool I bought for my bike tool bag. However, it's not worth lugging around, so it stays in a drawer at home with my other tools. Became a waste of money when not in my bike bag. If you work on…
