Brake cable needed replacing which was rusted and fully stuck to housing and flange. I used to try to cut cables with wire cutters and it was a mess. And don't even try to cut the cable casing without such a tool. However, after ordering a replacement cable and housing, I was able to trim the housing to length with a tool. I had to drill out the case a bit to smooth out the cable hole, but it was fairly easy with an awl. I lubricated the brake cable and fed it through the body, pressed against the brake, cut off the excess cable with these wire cutters, crimped the end of the cable and drove off. I am very happy with the tool
