Tried for a week - not good. Every time I try to pair this with my phone it fails. The WiFi hotspot this device creates does not last long enough for my iPhone to connect. The device will restart while the app tries to find it. Another possible reason is that my phone disconnects from the Somfy hotspot before the app has time to complete its process because it sees that it is not connected to the internet. Anyhow, it's clear that this is a very buggy, untested app and device combo that crashes every time I try - and I've tried 30 times a week. Another side note, though not a bug: I really hate wireless protocols like RTS (which stands for "Radio Technology Somfy"). I'd rather get something with Z-Wave where there are many more devices and apps that don't support this legacy protocol and a basic wireless gateway certainly shouldn't cost more than $200 like it used to in my case I want my installer to use Graber Z shaft motors instead of Somfy. I didn't know what I didn't know at the time.
