Review on Patroaint Waterproof Dog Training Collar - Three Training Modes, Extended Range up to 2600Ft by Stephanie Smith

I like that the buttons are recessed far enough that we never accidentally signal the dogs. The battery life is excellent. Collars, transmitters and receivers are all of good quality. But as others have said, it takes too much time/effort to "wake up" the collars when they are sleeping. It seems that the movement does not affect her awakening. Sometimes they wake up at the first press of a button on the remote control. Other times (most of the time) it takes so long or so many key presses to wake them up that there's no point in trying again. The training period has expired. This is the main reason for my rating. The signal strength is far from what is claimed. They have been advertised up to 2600 feet. I never expected to actually walk 2600 feet, but I expected to walk at least half of it. I understand everything that comes into play that affects this statement, but even in the best of conditions these collars are only good up to 500-700 feet, about like my previous collars which were advertised at 1600 feet. Sleep problem and range problem combined, my dogs can be out of range of the transmitter before I can get the collar to wake up. This is a major disadvantage for a product of this type.
