Review on Transform Your Power with UCTRONICS Numerical Stabilized Converter Adjustable by Randy Bin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great quality for the price needed for Raspberry Pi projects

Use this to regulate the performance of my Raspberry Pi 3 stack with 2 Pi wafers and a 7 inch LCD . I use a 19.5V DC 3.5A laptop power supply to power this regulator and the output is strong and consistent. Since Pi projects mostly require 5VDC, the voltage drop is a problem for my projects. Standard 5V power supplies just aren't enough for most of me. This regulator allows me to fine tune the output voltage in 0.01V increments and gets 5V straight to the Pi. No more low voltage warnings! It's easy to see the values you're looking for quickly, I like to have an on/off switch, when it's off it still shows the input voltage, shows the current and power consumption, can adjust the memory to quickly see different settings retrieve, does not get hot even with prolonged use (days), very small for what it does. Cons: The only thing I don't like is that it's designed for panel mounting and my apps don't usually give me that option. No problem, but it would be great to include a small bag to fit it in. The adjustment knob is a bit big for such a small device, but bigger might be better for those with big fingers. Improvement: It would be great if one of these ESCs could be used as a pi stack component. I would buy at least 4 more!
