Use it for remote art training, can lean decently over my 12 inch tablet then quickly return to vertical for Zoom webcam calls. Pretty easy to set up. I screw on my Logitech webcam - there's a small notch on the side that allows you to point the camera 90 degrees relative to your hand and lock it to the pan head (it took a bit of fiddling to figure it out, but there's plenty). details to tighten it up to make it work). big/heavy camera, but you should be fine with a pocket point and shoot or webcam. I'm a bit concerned about the construction of the plastic hinges with the constant adjustments I make on a daily basis, but it feels sturdy overall. Packs very compact and travels well, not very light due to the metal parts but that would be a compromise for strength. The clip attaches like many table lamp clips, but the screw on the clip only cushions on the top - if you have a folding wooden desk like me, you can add a small piece of styrofoam or something similar to the metal washer to firmly attach to the table top so the wood doesn't to scratch. If KDD is reading this, a small circle of foam on the bottom would be nice to get a firm grip without fear of scratching ANY side of the table! Can't comment on the phone clip as I haven't used it.
