6 feet is pretty small for a garland so we cut it in half and using twisted zip ties made two simple wreaths about 1 foot in diameter each for the sides of our front door around each porch light. Good effect, very cheap and far enough away from the eyes not to see they are plastic (like on the dining table). Let's see how he holds up on the street. I agree some berries do fall, but I've never had berry decoration anywhere this happens, including very expensive ones. In fact, the more expensive ones have fallen more than that. My only "issue" was that one side of the garland was more berry sprigs than the other, meaning one of my wreaths looked a lot fuller. We just cut a few branches from a bushy wreath, no problem. But if you let a garland flow across your dining table, you might notice that it looks crooked.
