I bought 3 string lights with warm white LEDs. These string lights have been specified for both indoor and outdoor use. But after a few weeks outside in inclement weather, strung between trees for the Christmas lights, about 1/2 of the LEDs showed signs of rusting (or some signs of corrosion). One of the photos shows a close-up of rusted and non-rusted LED sockets. About 50% of 3 lamp strings show this type of corrosion. While they worked well for the 3 or 4 weeks I had, I didn't expect them to last many seasons without an LED failure, which is why I'm returning them. As for blinking and flickering - everything is fine. It's just a chain of two chains - half on one path, half on the other - so a pretty simple shimmery pattern. The lights hang on top of each other. I bought 3 strings - one box had 4 lots of bulbs wrapped in a spool - so I could open one lot at a time and work with them which made them easier to work with. The other two drawers were held together with individual zip ties, so I loosened the zip tie, pulled out about a quarter of the rope, then re-zipped the rest of it and it worked. I think they are good for indoor use. Outdoor use may result in a limited lifespan. Removing and repackaging after the season can be a hassle and time consuming (as you receive it) when you intend to reuse it year after year. If you plan to use it for a season, they are suitable for outdoor use.
