First the container was poured into a measuring bottle and it turned out to be 13.5 ounces instead of the advertised 16 ounces. The spout of the container was sealed and there was no leak in the shipping box. Usual plagiarism. Second, this product is nothing more than regular white mineral oil that can be purchased for a lot less - a gallon for about the same price here at Revain. A year ago I bought "Lily White Sewing Machine Oil" for a bit more. It's great for sharpening knives as well as lubricating a variety of jobs including my wife's sewing machine! Third, it has exactly the same consistency as sewing machine oil. Two knives were sharpened with each oil, and they were sharpened the same way, and the oil affected the stone in exactly the same way. So save your money and buy pure mineral oil for your whetstones. Don't be fooled by advertisements for special "honing oil".
