Review on πŸ”§ Pipe Tools Senior Reamer: Enhancing Precision and Efficiency in Pipe Reaming by Reginald Hamilton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good Spot Reamer

This reamer is precision engineered, strong, and very versatile with three adjustable cutting blades that curve in (or curve) in about 1/2 inch from the tip. Because the vanes are rear-hinged and flare out from the tip, they generally only make contact with the flare along a relatively narrow portion of the bent knee; As such, I prefer a set of fixed blade reamers of various sizes to keep the cake smooth and even in my briar pipes. However, an adjustable "senior tubular reamer" will work where the fixed blade type won't when rounding the bottom of the bowl or when working with only small portions of the bowl (either around the taper near the bottom gradually to decrease or to increase the taper closer to the top) to accommodate a fixed blade expander of the desired size that will maintain the desired and uniform cake thickness from the top to the bottom of the bowl.
