Review on Monroe 58552 Load ๐Ÿ”ง Adjust Shock Absorber by Monroe by Johnnie Bowlan

Everything on my K10, which is over 40 years old, was repaired

My Chevrolet K10 has had sagging springs for a long time. After not driving this truck for many years, I decided to bring it back to life. The front shocks were completely cooked through, so I looked for shocks for them. Started looking for rear shock absorbers. I used to tow a 36 foot saddle bike with air shocks in the rear. I decided I didn't want to swap out the leaking old plumbing for them again and see if there was a coil. I found these and saw that they made the front ones as well. Many reviews say it helped bring old leaves back to life. So. Bought the front, looking forward to the back. Raised my truck two inches in front. When I crank my rear air shocks to the max it's about level. The photo is before I filled the rear shocks with air so you can see the difference. Setup - when the truck was jacked up with the tire all the way down and just about to lift off the ground, I was still an inch off the bottom hitch. I placed a bottle jack under the shock and lifted it an inch to install. Otherwise it is quite easy to mount like old shock absorbers. Performance - Haven't bought any rear shocks yet. New transmission, I took the wheels off my Yota and rode it 1100 miles from California to Montana with a load and a canopy. Drove it 5 states. Lots of curves and steep climbs. It's almost a month in Montana. Traveled several times on dirt roads and snow. My opinion on these shock absorbers is that they work very well. As a bonus, they lift and flatten older leaves. Cornering and braking behavior have improved significantly. The truck stays level in curves. Bumpy roads are a bit hard. But that's what I wanted. I almost had to put on 33" tires to fill the gap haha. In general a very good product. I'll be buying rear wheels soon to finally level the truck instead of messing with my leaking shocks. I am planning to buy a complete set for my 76 cj7 as well as a complete set for Toyota 85 4x4. They are all daily drivers and will benefit from this product.
