If you plug a 10 foot cable into an outlet and pull the cable in the spool, the 10 foot cable will twist with the spool and look like a Braid. This twist is not appropriate for a 10 foot cable. The workaround is to pull all the cord out of the spool you need before plugging the 10ft cord into the wall. Unfortunately, I wanted to use this with my corded lawnmower, so it was safer not having that kind of slack to begin with. I also had a problem pulling the cable out of the spool without tipping the spool. This is without a wall connection. I even tried placing a 15lb dumbbell front and back to stabilize it and it still tipped over. However, the cable rotates fairly well in the spool. And the cable itself looks premium.
