Review on πŸ’Ž 7-Inch Delta Diamond Piranha Premium Tile Diamond Blade - Dry/Wet Cutting for Porcelain & Ceramic Tile, Stone - DM-7/8"-5/8" Arbor (7") by Oscar Berry

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Further improvement in the design of the sleeve with a mandrel size of 7/8 to 5/78 is needed.

I purchased this item for my 7" 5/8" arbor rigid table saw for wet sawing in porcelain stoneware. The saw blade is designed for a 7/8 shank but uses a flat sleeve for a 5/8 shank. Thickness and hardness are good. However, the rotation of the tile saw blade appears to be wobbly and eccentric, and further inspection shows that the 5/8 diameter flat bushing does not fit well in the triangular saw hole. The bushing is actually just a washer of the same thickness, making it quite difficult to get the bushing in the hole properly with an interference fit. The sleeve must be designed with a flange to engage and lock the triangular hole just like a conventional sleeve. I couldn't believe the case was held in place with just a paper sticker. After fiddling with the bushing I got a smooth spin, but the cut of the porcelain edge is not as sharp compared to the saw blade that came with the original rigid frame table saw. This saw blade works best with a size 7/8 tile cutter. I sent the blade back and the seller kindly refunded my money.
