Very clear lenses but could be better. I have been a welder for over 10 years and I can say that there is no magic lens that will make you a better welder. But as far as the lenses that are currently being made, gold lenses are the best. Now the image you see is blue/green rather than actual gold/amber. Lanse was clean with no defects except for a small chip in one of the corners. But it cannot be seen and it does not let any light through. What I don't like, and it might as well just be a glass lens, is that there isn't a raised part on the back of the lens to prevent rubbing against the inner plastic cover. But other than that, I'd say it costs $20
