Works but I need pads

Works well in my (2009?) Mongoose Dolomite with 100mm bottom bracket and Vuleta crank. I absolutely need 100x177mm. Wider would be better (185mm?) but it doesn't seem to be an option anywhere. Although I had about 10mm of space between the right sprocket crank and the chainstay, the left crank barely touched the chainstay. I was going to grind the handle as there is a lot of meat on the Vuleta handle but then an idea struck me! I went to a local hardware store and bought a sheet of .005 inch brass. Cut a small piece to cover 2 sides of the square on VGEBY1 and reinstall the crank. I now have about 3-4mm space between crank and chainstay! There is still a lot of engagement on the square, so it shouldn't be loose. Just wanted to share my fix in case anyone else has the same issue. .The bearings aren't the smoothest, but for this price don't expect top quality bearings. After installing the cranks, the pedals rotate well and smoothly. A definite upgrade over the metal shaving infested OEM slide!
