So I had a 12 gallon tankless water heater for my awesome crossover and it just broke and died so I was busy looking at alternatives for the van that I can use to get hot water. In the end, I decided on a Girard instantaneous water heater. After looking around a bit I found this door, although it may not have an internal cutout shape, it connects nicely to the water heater once the water heater has already been installed. She provides some basic instructions on what to do to strengthen the stability of the water heater itself and the door. Also, the holes punched inwards are unthreaded so I suggest getting some self tapping screws that are about the same size as the hole so you can connect the heater and door properly! Second, the soft insert used in the exhaust port needs to be offset slightly to fit in the exhaust pipe when the door is closed. Installation took about an hour assuming I had all the necessary tools before I got started and had to move the water heater and install a wood bracket for the heater and siliconize the door joint. The molding surface for the door just fits perfectly, with plenty of room around the original hole with about an inch of space. if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask them.
