Review on πŸ”Ž SS10 Surgi Sharp Universal Angle Guide – Optimize Your Search! by Timothy Weems

Works great with a little practice and a little modification.

Having been using this angle stop for sharpening kitchen knives and folding knives for 3 weeks now, I am satisfied with it. It works well after a few minutes of trial use IF you're only interested in reusing an old kitchen knife and aren't worried about the sharpening lines staying straight. But if you're using it to sharpen or re-sharpen a valuable knife, it's worth practicing with for a while as there's a slight learning curve. If you're also using it to create a sharp bevel (less than 15 degrees on each side) on a narrow-bladed knife, such as a B. a small pocket knife blade, it is helpful to change the tool stop. Otherwise there will be too much clearance between the tool rest and the grinding surface and the blade will not be supported enough to keep it from tipping over the edge. I cut a thin piece of aluminum (1" x 2") and attached it to the adjustable tabletop with double-sided tape, leaving about 1/4" over the top. This solved the problem, so I cut slots into the aluminum, drilled and tapped the appropriate holes in the plate and secured with right hand #6 wrench old OKC.
