Review on π Gates T275 High-Performance Automotive Timing Belt by Ryan Gillett
Don't wait to change them.
Changed them on my new 1998 Goldwing. The bike only had 47,000 miles but I wouldn't ride it until the belts were changed as I was pretty sure they had never been changed. Why take the risk? The Golden Wing has an interference engine that will self-destruct if it fails. They are working great after 400 miles and were reasonably priced.
