This is a great lamp bracket, I have enlarged my aquarium and needed a 150 watt heater lamp. However, I strongly recommend buying a lamp stand. It is difficult to get the right temperature in your bathing area as most aquariums vary in size and you risk burning out your bulbs faster if they touch the top of your enclosure, as well as risk of fire, mesh melting and other hazards. . Mine hangs about 1 inch above my mesh lid and my tank is 19 inches tall and keeps my bathing area at the optimum temperature which is pretty low in the enclosure.
