This device did /exactly/ what I wanted it to do: play the BD movies I ordered so I could make sure they were error free. And most likely it does everything else that it purports to do the same. As others have noted, the cables are fairly short and I only needed one of these to play BD discs, although other functions may actually require a second one. On the plus side, the cables are kept in place when not in use, so they don't get in the way. The disc contained the full CyberLink 12 package. Since each product is installed into a directory that includes the version in its name, the package does not replace a version that may exist (e.g. PowerDVD 14). However, the free versions of PowerDVD don't support Blu-Ray, so I'm willing to upgrade or find something else. The PowerDVD 18 Ultra will definitely play BDs.
