I do not recommend this product or the seller David'sMart. I'm sure others have had better luck with the product. Long story, I bought this for my daughter's hermit crab. The pillow itself arrived in good condition and looked high quality. I bought it instead of other brands due to the stronger connection of the power cord with the contact pad. The rest of the pads were just pressed firmly against the power cord. I installed this gasket at the bottom of our 10 gallon glass tank, hooked it up to the Century Thermal Mat digital thermostat controller and set it to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The first night the pad warmed up and everything looked fine. The next day I checked the temperature again and the tank dropped back to room temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit with the gasket feeling cool. The thermostat controller indicated it was supplying power, which I checked with a table lamp plugged into it. To test the pad, I stuck the pad directly to the wall for 1/2 day with no sign of heating. So I decided to go online to set up a defective return. I then found out on my Revain order page that this product has NO RETURNS through a seller called David'sMart. I thought I had to pay that bill. Luckily, Revain representatives helped get the money back over the phone! I've had the Zoo Med Reptitherm 8W pad on my temperature controller for 3 days now and it's still working. I will be leaving a review on Zoo Med in a few days. Crossed fingers!
