I bought this salt shaker to use for my Celtic sea salt class. I thought everything was fine as I liked the big holes that had big crystals placed in them. Then my salt started turning a weird brown color. I was shocked when I opened it and realized I was shaking off rusty salt with my family's meal. I thought it was stainless steel? According to the description, it is perfect for salt. Anyway, just a warning to those who would rather not use this additional ingredient as a condiment in their cooking!
