I have been a casual bird watcher for many years. I was using Zeiss 6x35 binoculars but wanted a more powerful pair. I researched different brands of binoculars and settled on Vortex Razors. The optics are as good as Zeiss and another brand in the same price range that I've tried. The decisive factor for me was the size of the Vortex. I have small hands and facial features. The Vortex is lighter than most binoculars at this magnification at just over 24 ounces. The kegs are also small and fit nicely in my hands. If you are a small person, you should definitely try this. It is convenient for me to carry them with me and keep them in front of my eyes for a long time. I'm also impressed with the lifetime warranty. You will no longer find such a commitment to product quality in our throwaway society. I plan to own my Vortex for many years.
