This is a fairly typical imported door/window alarm. The features are well described elsewhere on this page, so I'd like to point out a few things that aren't. The tape isn't the best. This is the type that works well for an application, but doesn't work when you need to adjust placement; You have to get it right the first time. It also won't withstand strong movement or vibration, so make sure the larger half of the alarm pair is stationary as the smaller contact half resists movement and vibration much better. The electronics inside hold no surprises. Contacts on one side go directly to the IC and on the other side to the switch which has a simple on/off function. There is a normal set of resistors and an LED display. In the center is a large capacitor with an obvious purpose as it connects directly to the speaker. The device itself works with simple electromagnetic sensors, in this case a typical reed switch for opening/closing the circuit is included in the main unit, ensuring the purpose of the device. The case is sufficiently resistant to dust and dirt. However, it is not sealed to the outside or where the speaker protrudes from the circuit board. This means, that it is definitely *not* suitable for prolonged use in places with high humidity or rain. an intruder alarm system that is triggered before our main alarm system normally triggers. For both of these purposes they are an excellent choice and highly recommended. The seller, Toesson, is also excellent. First class customer service. Highly recommended!
