First of all, the reviewers who say it's difficult to set up are right - and they're wrong. I would like to remind you that I am a network engineer with many years of experience. I know how to set up routers. I'm also a Mikrotik veteran. I've been happily using Hap Lite as a router for a number of years. Wanting a little more speed and a stronger signal around the house I bought this little one. I plugged it in and went through the setup. Nothing. I started Winbox, went to my router and found its IP. Then Winboxed to it. Changed this setting. changed it. broken things. Restart your router. Took a break. Came back, repeat the process. Everything worked for me, except that everything that went into the access point got 169 IP - not good. Reset it again. Finally found a website that was too simplified and adapted accordingly. bam Disappointing day but now I could see my 5.0 and 2.4 networks. Related. Did a speed test. Got half the speed of my old router. That is not right. Went into the room, literally a few feet from the air, ran the test again. Better but still not as good as my old 2.4 at 30ft with a few walls. I'll take something else - something that can bring speed. It wasn't. And it took a lot of effort to understand.
