I use these to connect MAC HDMI adapters to HDMI cables in school common areas. In the past, adapters "went" all the time. I must have spent hundreds of dollars to replace them. Now I can inexpensively permanently attach them to cables. Yes - someone could probably cut them off. But mostly it's a matter of convenience as to when they "go". I immediately used 6 of these and have never lost an adapter since.
