Review on Milwaukee Leather SH66602 Zip-Off Double Pocket Studded PVC Throw Over Motorcycle Saddlebags - Universal Fit by Non Martin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am writing this review after 11 months. Bought for my husband.

Pros: Quite a lot of memory. We use one to store a bike bag, extra straps, and a sun pass (like an EZ pass to pay tolls). The other pocket is where we stow extra gear during the cold season here in Florida, such as We store gloves and hand warmers in small bags. (Given the size to give an idea of the space used) Now that it's warm we use the free space by removing our winter gear and using it for other things. Even an 11-inch diagonal laptop. The straps easily snap into place. At first I thought the straps were just buckles and that would be a hassle, but then I realized they have latches. Very convenient. 2 additional side pockets on each pocket are a good addition for storing quick-to-reach items. EASY TO CLEAN! Take a damp cloth and wipe them off. We used twilight soap with warm cold water to clean it and it's as easy as cleaning a laminate countertop. Even when hosed down, they take no damage. I recommend air drying with the valves open or standing in front of a fan if the inside gets wet. Use a towel to dry outside. Cons: - The buckle straps are too long. The first week we had them we tightened the straps and they dangled over the muffler causing damage. I looped it around the back and wrapped it with black elastic to avoid this, but it ruins the look. The laces for attaching bags are too short. Where the bag needs to go under the seat and be tightened by the drawstrings, it is too short and no longer able to tighten the bags. We had to buy separate long laces to get things done. Not enough grip under the laces to keep the bags from slipping. While riding I noticed that the bags on both sides were slipping because they didn't have enough grip to keep them in place. We use glue to solve this problem.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • So far so good
