I bought this knife for my son who loves to cook and only buys the best. He only had one knife because it was the sharpest he had and it wasn't sharp. But with two children and a wife to support him, a quality knife was far off his priority list. I went online to Wirecutter which, in case you don't know, is a great guide to finding really good reviews on a lot of products. This knife was number 1, so I ordered it. It wasn't a disappointment. It arrived quickly, beautiful and VERY sharp. It also has an excellent weight as it is properly weighted for its use. I also bought a case for it. I will tell you my son was delighted and the knife has a special place in the kitchen drawer. I hope someone buys me this knife! It's one of those things you don't buy for yourself, so it makes a great gift if you have a chef in your family who uses cheap knives.
