I had an A129 Duo IR and it worked very well in my car, it helped me catch 2 crashes. Using video footage, the insurance company made a decision in less than a few minutes. I bought the A129 Pro Duo to replace my almost brand new A129 Duo IR which had a bit damaged its power cord in the last crash. (Another insurance company, AAA, chose to reimburse the full cost of the dash cam plus installation fees, although I did it myself.) Both the A129 Pro Duo and A129 Duo IR are different when it comes to installation and setup very similar to the user interface. I still feel that the rear and front camera cable is a bit tight, but I had no trouble installing it. Setting up the camera is easy, I keep the default settings, just turn off the G-sensor. Here's what I like about the A129 Pro Duo: Discreet design - once installed, the camera hides itself behind the rear view mirror. It's pretty hard to see the dashcam if you're not looking at the car. This is very important to me as I have to leave my car outside at night. Stunning video quality - The A129 Pro Duo front camera delivers super sharp and clear 4K images with lots of detail during the day. With a 4K camera, you could defiantly read a license plate further than 1080P (update how much better that's than a regular 1080P DVR). The rear camera has decent 1080p video quality and the night vision is slightly better than the front 4K camera, even in a totally dark garage I can still see everything in front of it. I recommend it. I used to think that the GPS module was used less. I've had two accidents recently. Both times the insurance company asked me: Where did the accident happen? And it took me a while to figure it out. With the GPS module I could now easily determine where I was. CAUTION: The A129 Duo Pro 4K Camera REQUIRES a U3 micro SD card. I'm currently testing a dashcam with a U1-32GB card and temporarily the camera works without any problems. Since the new U3-128GB card is coming out soon, I will use the U1 card all the time. You need to buy a larger or larger SD card, either 128GB or 256GB. The A129 Pro Duo delivers very sharp images and also creates very large files (approx. 300 MB/min). That means a 32GB SD card can hold just over 1 hour of footage.
