Review on Fel Pro 35622 Water Outlet Gasket by Ian Iknokinok

I installed a new thermostat on my 2004 Infiniti G35 Sedan (VQ35DE engine), twice with these gaskets and both times I had small leaks. Clean the contact surfaces carefully before installation. The first time I used a bare pad. The second time I applied Permatex 22071 RTV to the side with no o-ring. Both times, after driving for a day or two, I could smell coolant and see coolant drips in the engine bay near the thermostat. Eventually I used a Mahle gasket instead, which visually looks the same as the OEM gasket and had no leaks after a week.
