I bought this velcro to keep the sofa cushions from moving forward all the time. The good news is that the velcro itself works great. Both strips hold very tight. However, the adhesive itself is not ideal for fabric. I realize the item description says it's suitable for flat surfaces like wood, glass and plastic, but I was really hoping it could be more versatile. After a whole day, the upholstery is usually already there and I only have to adjust the seats at the end of the night. But the real problem comes when I want to remove the cushions from the sofa. Because the velcro itself is very strong and the glue doesn't like the fabric, the two strips stick together but detach completely from the cushion itself. I've also tried sewing velcro in place, similar to how the sofa manufacturer sews velcro to the back cushions sewed, but my non-commercial sewing machine won't do the job and the velcro is too thick to sew by hand. If you need a strong velcro to stick to a flat surface made of the materials recommended by the manufacturers (wood, plastic and glass), this velcro is perfect! If like me you need to stick it to soft surfaces like fabric I would suggest you look elsewhere. PROS: + Velcro strips stay firmly on top of each other + Easy to apply + Comes in one large size (width) and one roll is enough for large projects with many additional CONS: - Not suitable for soft surfaces like fabric - Too thick to reinforce stitches
