Review on πŸ” SOMADA 2 125 Inch Forstner Drill: Top Performance for 3.5 Inch Precision Drilling by Stephen Pendergrass

Sharp knife

. Handle it properly. The bit is delivered in a practical machine packaging. I prefer to keep Forstner's in the original packaging to avoid damage. Excellent value for money and quality. Some commenters don't seem to understand the purpose and workings of the Forstner bit. This is a low speed drill that will require multiple dip and chill cycles depending on the type and thickness of the wood. MDF overheats the drill faster than natural wood drilling. When the sharp edge becomes dark and bluish, the hardness of the drill edge is broken due to operator error, causing the drill to overheat due to friction, heat up, and the working edge heal. You will never see the wood loosening of a no twist Forstner bit, no matter who makes it. Forstner's aim is sharp, precise rim holes.
