screw coming out. I have other Vix bits and the outer hub is quite thick and tapers towards the rim so it sits securely in the loop hole and is accurate. Your purpose is to make a hole right in the middle of the hinge screw hole so the hinge alignment is accurate. The outer sleeves are so thin compared to the size of the drill that you will need to use a small drill or it will not fit the loop properly. If you use a large drill, the hole will be too big and the strips will unscrew.
Pros
- NOTE -- Use low speed (typically 2000-3000 rpm) when drilling. Excessive RPM will cause the drill to run off center, break or bind.
