Completely simple structure. The quick start guide and app are all you need and I got a three node system up and running in about 20-30 minutes (even with firmware updates etc). The only downside is that when setting up a wireless network with the app, the 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks have the same network name/SSID. In practice, this meant that many of my wireless devices were connected to the 2.4GHz network, resulting in very poor bandwidth/performance, especially for streaming media like Hulu and Netflix. The solution is to use the web interface and set different network names/SSIDs for 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. Now only my thermostats connect to the slower 2.4GHz network and everything else connects to the 5GHz network and delivers expected throughput and performance. Admittedly, it's only been a few days since I installed my Velop system, but first impressions are very positive. !
