God what an unusual whistle - not for beginners! I bought it out of curiosity. I'm not a herder and I don't have a dog so I have no idea how it should be used. It doesn't come with instructions, however, but the manual on acme.co.uk is enough to get you raving. within half an hour. After that, you are only limited by the dexterity of your imagination and your language. I can't tell how the dogs react to it, but I can whistle "My country is yours" (GSTQ). Dogs aside, I think this can be useful in noisy environments when you need to signal more forcefully than a regular fixed pitch whistle would allow.
