Review on Tyt TH-9000D VHF Mono Band Mobile Transceiver: High Power, 200 Channels, 8 Group Scrambler - Ideal for Car, Truck, and Amateur Radio Enthusiasts! by Robert Jackson

Not a bad little transceiver.

It lay unopened for a long time but I ended up making it my 2 meter base. Hooked it up to a homebuilt 1/4 wave layout in the attic and I can easily hit any repeaters in range with low power. Programming is risky, but that's to be expected from a Chinese transceiver. I have some Baofeng and Puxing HT so I can decipher quite well. Once you understand offset and PL, you will find it easy to start programming your repeaters. Far from my Kenwood, but so is the price. Although I'm not disappointed at all.73 de N1WG
