Annoying alarm clock best on CB & Two Way Radios

The radio itself works well but the alarm clock is annoying and often goes off for no reason. All power cords are securely connected and there are no fluctuations in the power supply to the device. The internal speaker was weak, as cellular devices tend to be, but the external speaker played it nice and clear, and the volume was great.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Reliability

Very rugged little FCC style radio.

Very reliable little radio built as an FCC Type 90 device so with PTT disabled on certain frequencies I can hear local PS frequencies and still talk on the HAM side. However, the leadership is pure Chinglish. The sound is clear, not too complicated for manual programming. Compact and fits easily in my Nissan Pathfinder. I use this radio for general radio control, search and rescue, and SkyWarn storm monitoring. I am very happy with this radio.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Doubtful

This radio is without a doubt one of the best radios I have ever used, but the programming manual is not for the illiterate and the Chinese to English translation requires some work. There are several computer programs as well as a tweet if you don't like hand coding. The Chinese are getting better by the minute. There are also typos in the instructions, so watch out.

Pros
  • Beautifully packaged
Cons
  • Only available in black

Good but not great radio

I used this radio as an all star radio. It sits alongside the Motorola GM300 at 147MHz. Motorola is unaffected by the proximity of TYT. On the other hand, TYT doesn't like the GM300. I think it's an issue of selectivity and pathogen coupling. As a mobile setup I think this is a good little radio. It has a strange programming sequence. So if you want to use it as a mobile setup, get some programming software. I like that DSC N and I plus encoding and decoding are separated. If I feel this device

Bargain, Top 220 in Radios

Bargain, 220, 440, 2m single band radios. Rt systems make programming easy. Good luck with this brand so far, best performance I've found for the 220 and 440 range! Update, RT systems now have a fix for preset output power levels for this unit with their latest update. Set the starting power where you want it! Update #2! I've seen someone having trouble with scanning, the scan settings (scan to) and (scan se) do two different things, scan (to) lets the radio resume after 15 seconds and the…

Not a bad little transceiver.

It lay unopened for a long time but I ended up making it my 2 meter base. Hooked it up to a homebuilt 1/4 wave layout in the attic and I can easily hit any repeaters in range with low power. Programming is risky, but that's to be expected from a Chinese transceiver. I have some Baofeng and Puxing HT so I can decipher quite well. Once you understand offset and PL, you will find it easy to start programming your repeaters. Far from my Kenwood, but so is the price. Although I'm not disappointed at

After the first few days satisfied with my

After the first few days satisfied with my. The Chinese guide isn't that bad, but I had to look up YouTube to figure out how to set the repeater offset and save the memory channel. I hand programmed mine and it wasn't too bad. You can even give your channels text titles without using the software. Very happy about that. I tried mine on several repeaters yesterday and did a great job. I got mine up and running at the emergency radio base up the mountain and was very pleased that I now have good…

Good radio. for portable audio and video

Despite what everyone says about Chinese radio, this is a workhorse. I can honestly say the radio for the power output. At high power, it transmits 70 watts. I recommend turning the radio on with low power as the radio gets a bit warm. I installed a small aftermarket fan on top of the radio and it cools really well. . I want to emphasize that this is amateur radio and you need an amateur license. I easily hit repeaters 75-100 miles away. Manual programming on the radio is very easy. I read the…
