Not Sharp! I bought it because I loved my old Borner waffle iron. It finally broke after decades of use. I tried replacing, I thought it would be the same. No, that is not so. The blade is so dull I have to press really hard to cut it which is a recipe for cutting yourself even if you have a holder which I do. I tried to return it in the returns window but the company I bought it from wouldn't allow it. I'd love to elaborate, but my first review was disapproved, so I hope this review goes through without this information. That's an expensive mistake for a piece of plastic with a dull blade. A sad comment about a company (Borner) that I have believed in and valued for so many years.
