My grill is so old the original blades were held on with a nut and bolt. By the time the blades wear out, the nut and bolt have become hopelessly fused. I had to buy a special tool to sand it down. I replaced the old blades with these and replaced the cooking grate with one that has hinged sections that make adding charcoal easy. I've found that I can turn an old grate upside down and lay this on top with the wires crossed so I can cook small items that used to fall through. Initially there was a pot, similar to a cap, in which the ashes were collected. I have no idea what happened to it. In the pet supply department of a large grocery store, I found a giant water pan for $10. I placed it at the bottom. It's so big I only have to throw it out once a year. My grill is better now than when I bought it, which is a long time ago.
