I bought two of these to connect my SmartTV to the rest of the newly added CAT6 infrastructure. Originally I wanted to run CAT6 from the wall rack in my second floor closet to the first floor living room, but due to the difficulty of finding the route and access to the wall I decided to use the existing coax infrastructure. My DOCSIS (cable) modem sits on top of a rack and connects to a 2.4GHz splitter, one of the outputs of which connects to the coax cable going into the living room. I ended up replacing the original splitter (5-1002MHz) with 5-2400GHz since MoCA requires 2.5GHz bandwidth. I also configured the adapters to use encryption. In the living room, the device's TV output is connected to the Xfinity set-top box. My internet and TV work with no issues, and media streaming to my SmartTV through this device is fast and lag-free (I tested it by playing a few 4K movies).
