Review on K&N Cold Air Intake Kit for 2004-2006 Chevy/GMC/Hummer (Colorado, Canyon, H3) 3.5L L5 - High Performance, Increased Horsepower, 50-State Legal (Part Number: 57-3043) by Kenneth Cotton

I've been waiting for months to post my reviews and comments to give an objective review. Once installed, along with the throttle body gasket, we immediately saw the check engine light, as mentioned in several other reviews; K&N customer service was very responsive and a simple cleaning of the air sensor solved the problem. Significant increase in intake from both standing and speed. The H3 climbs to 7,000 feet much better and at lower RPMs than before installation. Gasoline mileage varies but is generally about the same. My son liked the tone and kicked it, the net effect was -2.0mpg but once I called him for the data we run around +0.5mpg. If your H3 can't dodge, you'll be pleasantly surprised after the market update. My only criticism is that the heat shield wasn't shaped properly and we had to shape it by bending the folds to fit the engine bay.
