Review on XPEL TW6T40 Tracwrap Temporary Protection by Leo Govindan

I am using this product as a temporary fix until I put a permanent guard on the front clip of my new car. The installer is backed up for months, so they suggested I install it temporarily to protect the color. XPEL said it can stay in place for up to 3 months. I've had mine for about a month now. I think it does the job of protecting my paintwork but installation was a nightmare. It took both of us 3 hours to install the small piece that goes to the front edge of the hood. Then we had to call for backup and the next day friend's parents came to help glue it to the rest of the front. This product is sticky. If it touches itself, you must throw it away. It's terrible because it's so expensive! We recommend XPEL not to make it sticky until it gets wet. Like window tinting film. You wet it and then quickly place it on the car, after which it activates the adhesive. This product will likely work if you plan on applying it to a much smaller area. It doesn't look great, but it's meant to protect your paintwork, and that's what it's designed for.
