Review on 99 06 Silverado Sierra Extended Handle by Jeffery Pricinoc

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Broke in less than a year and I used WD40 in the install.

UPDATE: 6/9/17 --- Lasted less than a year. It broke a few weeks ago. The plastic is cracked on the inside of the handle where the lever is. I don't even open the back door often. Changed my rating from 4 stars to 2 stars. During installation I sprayed the spring with WD40. I have attached photos. I will look for another replacement. Easy exchange. Does not come with screws. All you need is a hex bit and a screwdriver. I can't comment on durability as I only installed it yesterday. I made sure the WD40 was the release mechanism in the door because it was probably getting rusted/stuck which could have been the cause of the OEM handle breaking. I weighed this replacement with the unbroken OEM grip on the other side and the OEM weighed 5.4 ounces and this replacement weighed 4.35 ounces. Made in Taiwan. If your handle is broken, I have a feeling you didn't put WD40 on the door opener.
