read the instructions very carefully.

Overall this product is well built and solid, but there is one small detail that I missed that I think should appeal to the company. In fact, I had to buy two of these because I ruined the first one. The thermostat cover shows a very simple circuit with a wire nut connecting the switch to the fan circuit. In a rush to get it working I just grabbed two wires from the box and connected them to the power supply. I took the wrong two and closed the switch, melting it. On closer inspection I see that the label clearly states that you must connect the switch as shown in the diagram, but I think this must be a process already done at the factory. You have no other option to connect the circuit, so just do it as part of the production process. My stupid mistake cost me another $24 to replace the thermostat. Once properly connected, it is very easy to set up and works reliably at the set temperature. The fan also moves a lot of air very quietly.
