I prefer the 4187HD feature
Looks nicer but I think the 4187HD mount is better. The 4187HD's antenna matching teeth are more aggressive/coarse. This one seemed harder to block. I think if you keep the antenna up all the time it doesn't matter, but I have a smaller boat and lower the antenna for towing. This is on the shelf and the 4187HD on my boat. Don't get me wrong, this is a heavy mount.
