I hooked it up to a $10 TPA3116D2 amp I found on ebay and it sounds great. I had some noise issues when powering this and the amp from the same power supply. Switching to 5V USB and a separate USB power supply instead of the 12V powering the amp solved this problem. I've noticed that connecting to BT can be a bit finicky. I also wish you could change the name of the BT connection. I made my own Bluetooth device using an ESP32 and an external DAC and couldn't solve the noise issues, but this device had a much faster BT connection and I was able to customize its name, so I know this device certainly does in that regard can be improved.
